The innovative technology in our binding machines, combined with the revolutionary design of our document covers, ensures a secure, perfect-bound document every time. All of our covers are designed to work with our thermal binding process and meet archival quality standards, in both soft and hard cover.
During the binding process, the
spine’s adhesive melts into the pages of the document, along
with the book binding cloth, forming a secure and uniform thermal bound
book.
The adhesive melts and expands to the edge of the cover, ensuring all papers melt securely into the adhesive.
After
cooling, the cloth, adhesive and cover stock fuse together, forming an
archival quality seam that resists pulling, tearing and ageing.
The
book binding cloth in the adhesive improves the uniformity of the
document’s edges and durability of the spine, while also
creating a hinge effect for easier reading.

Our covers are the first pre-folded thermal covers in the world. The covers are folded back on themselves during the production process. This allows the bound document to hinge open easily the very first time it is used, without having to “break” the spine.

The Coverbind covers are very well suited for archive purposes and will resist ageing extremely well! Click here to read our statement on Archive and Ageing.
